Pulmonias

Throughout Mazatlan, you'll see those 'Pulmonias' (could translate as 'breathers', because you do feel the wind when you ride them)... an hybrid between a jeep and a golf cart. They are in service since 1965. When not busy, they roam the streets... and when they see a tourist they horn... but their horn sound is like a human whistle... so you do turn around to see what's going on. They have a cargo platform behind the seat. Officially, there are 3 seats for passengers (I saw some stretched versions with an extra bench)... but the rule is to site as many people as needed. I've seen 5 adults in a 3-seater.
